He has established himself in the Indian film industry speaking about uncomfortable realities about society, power relations and justice through his films.

Cast

• Soori is back again in the role of the lead character Kumaresan, a policeman who struggles with his duty and ethics. Now, in this sequel, Soori’s character has to make life changing decisions. His performance becomes all the more effective.
• As expected, Vijay Sethupathi steals the show once again as Perumal “Vaathiyar” who leads the group of rebels in support of the oppressed. His captivating but tallented role of a revolutionary adds depth to the plot.
• The film also does well to include the key roles of actors Bhavani Sre and Gautham Vasudev Menon in the exposition, which adds more complexity and emotional trajectory to the film’s plot.

Viduthalai Part 2’s trailer was unveiled in November of 2024 and it instantly became the talk of the town.
